the origin STORY

Kings of Hearts was born not from a business plan, but from a conversation—raw, real, and long overdue.

In the early days, it was just a small circle of men—among them co-founders Andy Nguyen and Yenukwa Kombian — asking each other the questions most men are never taught to ask. Beneath the surface of our careers, relationships, and everyday lives, we were wrestling with quiet battles: shame, loneliness, fear, and the pressure to be someone we weren’t sure we believed in.

Then one evening, one man in the circle let his guard down. He spoke the words he had never dared say aloud—and that changed everything.

That moment cracked something open. We realized vulnerability wasn’t weakness—it was the key to a deeper kind of strength. One by one, the walls came down. And what emerged was not just personal healing, but a powerful sense of collective purpose.

Eventually we asked ourselves: If this space is changing us, how many other men are out there—waiting, yearning, quietly collapsing under the weight of silence?

Kings of Hearts became our answer.

What started as a simple gathering has grown into a global movement—a platform for men to connect, reflect, and lead from the heart. Today, Kings of Hearts offers men’s groups, leadership training, immersive retreats, and an international online community—all designed to support meaningful transformation.

At the core of everything we create are four foundational pillars: self-awareness, character building, vulnerability, and service. These are not just ideals—they’re the standard we live by and the lens through which we build every program, every circle, every offering.

We exist to create spaces where men don’t have to wait for a breakdown to begin their breakthrough. Where they are invited to speak what hurts, confront what no longer serves, and redefine masculinity not through performance, but through presence, integrity, and heart.

yenukwa kombian

Yenukwa works at the edge where clarity, compassion, and accountability meet.

With a background in sports and sports psychology, his facilitation is grounded in discipline, presence, and emotional regulation under pressure. He understands how men grow—through challenge, honest feedback, and learning to stay present in conflict and intimacy.

For over 5 years, Yenukwa has led men’s groups and coached men into deeper self-leadership, boundaries, and relational integrity. His work is informed by his role at Wiseguyz Centre for Sexuality, supporting young men in developing mature sexuality and clean communication.

Direct and fiery when needed, yet deeply compassionate, Yenukwa holds men to a high standard without rescuing or abandoning them. A committed meditation practitioner, he brings steadiness to emotionally charged spaces and calls men forward with clarity.

andy nguyen

Andy’s work is forged through lived experience, not theory.

Raised without a father and shaped by rough neighbourhoods, Andy learned early what happens when boys are left to become men without guidance. Like many, he over-adapted—becoming the “nice guy,” disconnected from his anger, boundaries, and direction. Men’s work became the turning point that changed everything.

His work is grounded in embodied leadership, integrating Qigong and breathwork so insight becomes action in real life.

For over 6 years, Andy has led men’s groups with a direct, no-BS approach, bridging inner work with real-world leadership through his experience at Arc’teryx.

Andy believes men don’t need fixing.
They need training, accountability, and a council.
